Our motto is "Kiwanis for kids"
The Oakville Kiwanis Club has been serving our community since April 4th, 1951. Our members, Kiwanians, are service-minded men and women who are united in their commitment and compassion for others. Any community need can become a Kiwanis service project, especially the needs of children.
Our Club recently set up a Charitable Foundation in order to receive bequests, donations, legacies and grants; we now have the ability to issue proper income tax receipts. The additional capital, which we will be seeking to attract, will permit us to expand our level of support to local worthy organizations.
Purpose: to improve lives through fellowship in service worldwide.
Our Defining Statement is: Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
Meetings to be held monthly. Every third Tuesday except for July and August at The Hampton’s Restaurant, 754 Bronte Road, Oakville, ON at 12:00 p.m. (Noon).
Civic-minded persons know that work remains to be done to make Oakville an even better place in which to live and raise families. We need your fresh ideas and energy to continue with the building of this community. If you are interested in contributing some time to the community, please get in touch with us.
